Through the inspiration of Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, the 150th Birth Anniversary of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj was celebrated by the BAPS Atladara Women’s wing on 27th December 2014, with thousands of women devotees attending this occasion.
The program began with the dhun and prarthana followed by a very colorful dance, “Sanatan Dharma na Siddhant”. The principles elucidated by Shastriji Maharaj were illustrated with references from the Vachanamrut, Swamini Vato, Shikshapatri, Bhaktachintamani and shlokas from ancient Vedic scriptures including the Bhagwad Gita, Mundaka Upanishad, Taittiriya Upanishad and Shvetashvatara Upanishad.
The youths presented an inspiring skit “Mukta Atma Jethiba” and speeches on women devotees of the times of Shastriji Maharaj. Through this the women devotees learnt about the divine samadhi experienced by many devotees through the blessings of Shastriji Maharaj.
The Deputy Mayor of Vadodara, Mrs. Sunitaben Shukla, said “The dance, Sanatan Dharma na Siddhant, has helped most of the attendees get a much better understanding regarding the Akshar Purushottam Siddhant.” These 150th anniversary celebrations were a resounding success, largely due to the women devotees who prepared and completed the event exceptionally well.
