The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir Murti-Pratishta Mahotsav, Joravasan, was celebrated over three days. The celebrations started on 2 December 2014, with the Mahila Sammelan. A Kirtan Bhakti programme was organised in the evening, during which melodious bhajans were sung by sadhus and devotees.
On the morning of 3 December 2014 a grand 'Vishwashanti Mahayagna' was held where about 600 yajman couples performed Vedic rituals led by senior sadhus, offering prayers for world peace on the auspicious occasion of the opening of the mandir. In the afternoon, a Nagar Yatra of the murtis to be consecrated was taken through the main streets in beautifully decorated floats.
The Vedic Murti-Pratishtha ceremony commenced in the morning of 4 December 2014. Pujya Bhaktipriya Swami (Pujya Kothari Swami) performed the installation of the murtis that had been consecrated by Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj on 21 July 2014 in Sarangpur.
