The inauguration of the Family Activity Center at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Cleveland, OH took place on Saturday, August 30, 2014 in the presence of Sadguru Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami. The inauguration ceremony began with Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami untying the nada-chhadi. Thereafter devotees and community members took part in a vedic mahapuja ceremony.
The mandir built and inaugurated by His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj in 1996, has seen a consistent growth in activities for all ages. The new facility adds much needed space to the existing facility and provides the delegates of the mandir ample space for now and the future. The addition of 8 new children’s classrooms was at the core of the project, each of these classrooms have been designed with growth in mind, to allow children of all ages to learn and play in a space dedicated and designed for them. In addition to the classrooms, a new assembly hall provides a location for many spiritual, cultural, educational, and recreational activities for children, families, and community members.
