The women's wing at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Ahmedabad, conducted a training workshop on 'Public Speaking - An art and a science' on 31st March 2013.
This event was attended by around 62 girls, selected from various cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Baroda, Mumbai etc. The training was conducted by Dr. Hina Saxena Jadeja who taught the basics of public speaking in a simple but interesting manner. Also part of the training team was well known public speaker Uday Vaishnav, who shared in depth knowledge on speech writing, order and stage presence.
In addition, a workshop on 'practical writing' helped those attending the session understand the key topic of public presentation even further. A question-answer session followed the training session.
At the conclusion of the workshop the attendees gave a very positive feedback on how much they had learnt in the sessions and how useful the knowledge they had gained would be in their personal and professional lives.
