To commemorate the 14th anniversary of the inauguration of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Nairobi, a special celebration was held on the 25th of August 2013. The celebrations commenced early in the morning with the Morning Aarti, after which a Mahapuja was performed followed by the Abhishek of all the Deities. Thereafter, Priyavrat Swami addressed all the Haribhaktos which was followed by mahaprasad.
The evening celebrations started with an Annakut that consisted of over 450 food items. The evening assembly started with Dhun and Prathna. Thereafter, memories of the activities in the Mandir for the past one year were presented through a video presentation. Priyavrat Swami addressed over a thousand devotees on the importance of the Mandir after which the assembly ended with the sadhus and senior devotees performing Aarti.
