Shri Swaminarayan Jayanti was celebrated at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Dar-es-Salaam on 1st April, 2012 from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. The sabha program included Kirtans, Pravachan and the main Pragatya Arti at 10:10 pm local time, after which prasad was distributed to all the devotees. About 500 devotees took part in that evening’s Utsav Sabha.
