The Jal Jhilani Utsav was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in Mombasa. The festival was held on a ferry where approximately 315 haribhaktos gave their presence. The Indian High Commissioner of Mombasa, Shri Radhakrishnan, the Chairman of Hindu Council Mombasa and various community heads graced the occasion with their presence.
The program entailed Dhoon, Prarthna, Kirtans. Mahendrabhai Patel shared some memories of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj and Pragat Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj. In the course of the Sabha, 5 Aartis were performed. These were performed in turns by the Balaks, Kishors, Yuvaks, Guests and Haribhaktas.
The Mombasa BAPS Swaminarayan Temple co-ordinator gave a vote of thanks to the invited guests and the haribhaktas for attending the grand festival.
At the end, Ganeshji's Murti was placed in the ocean. Prasad was distributed thereafter to all haribhaktas.
