From its inauguration by Pramukh Swami Maharaj on Sunday 10 December 2006, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Coventry has provided a place of peace, inspiration and devotion to the local community.
To mark the sixth anniversary since the opening, a special celebration was held on Sunday 30 December 2012 in the presence of sadhus from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.
A beautiful annakut (ceremonial offering of food to God in thanksgiving) was offered to the murtis and an assembly followed thereafter which included devotional songs and a video highlighting the activities of the Mandir and the way in which it has benefitted the local community.
Satyavrat Swami concluded the event by outlining the need for mandirs in today’s society and also inspiring the devotees to introspect and advance further in their personal religiosity.
