The Nutley Township Public Library invited Clifton BAPS Mandir to present an informative and interactive presentation on “Diwali – the Festival of lights.”
Members of the local community attended this presentation, conducted by the Clifton Yuvati Mandal, to learn the history and significance of the five days of Diwali and a general background of India's rich, cultural heritage. Following the presentation, audience members participated in interactive Diwali booths, where they were able to do rangoli, perform chopda pujan, and apply traditional mehndi designs. Videos of Diwali celebrations at local mandirs were also shown.
