The BAPS Charlotte Mandir celebrated the joyous occasion of Guru Purnima. A Vedic Mahapuja was performed at 1 pm. The Guru Purnima Samaiyo commenced at 4:30 with the lighting of the divo. The program included kirtans extolling the greatness and importance of the guru, and readings from Bhagwat Gita, Ramayana, and Shreemad Bhagwat. A drama making clear common misconceptions of the BAPS organization and its saints was performed. Moreover, a multimedia presentation displayed Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s love and admiration for all religious denominations. In conclusion, a marvelous kavaali was performed.
