Akhand Swaminarayan Dhoon, which started at 2:30 pm , was a perfect prelude to the Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dwishatabdi Mahotsav celebration in the evening. The Mahotsav celebration was characterized by the richness of content, variety in program styles and yet harmony in the objective of underlining the divine mahima of Swaminarayan Mahamantra.

After dhoon, prarthana and kirtan, shishu mandal presented a dance in their own playful style on the kirtan “Ame Baal Tarla Zagamagata”, which was cheerfully appreciated by the audience. That was followed by narration of various prasangs underlining the greatness of Swaminarayan Mahamantra. The prasangs were related to Prince of Lodhika (Abhesinh ), Abhesinh of Ganot, Rupsinh Thakar and Amara Patgar. The main speech of the program elaborated upon the chronology of the inception of the Swaminarayan Mahamantra, its true meaning and its importance in achieving the ultimate goal of Akshardham as described by Lord Swaminarayan himself.

A drama was presented by yuvak mandal depicting the story of a satsangi who, while chanting the Swaminarayan Mantra was not affected by the powerful black magic of a capable ‘Bhuva’. Bal mandal presented a pleasing exhibition of their dancing skills in a group dance with the kirtan “Swaminarayan Naam Ni ho Kanthi Chhe Dok ma” as well as their music and singing skills; the full orchestra played by balaks.
