બ્રહ્મસ્વરૂપ પ્રમુખસ્વામી મહારાજની પ્રેરક પ્રસંગ-સ્મૃતિઓ

‘અભિષેક મંડપમ્’માં આજે અમેરિકામાં આવેલા સેન્ટલૂઈસ શહેરમાં નવનિર્મિત બી.એ.પી.એસ. સ્વામિનારાયણ મંદિરની મૂર્તિઓ મૂકવામાં આવી હતી. સ્વામીશ્રી આ મૂર્તિઓની પ્રતિષ્ઠા-પૂર્વપૂજન કરવાના હતા. આ નિમિત્તે ડૉ. પ્રણવભાઈ વગેરે હરિભક્તો ખાસ આ પ્રસંગે આવ્યા હતા. વેદોક્તવિધિ કર્યા પછી સ્વામીશ્રીએ વિદાય લીધી, પરંતુ મંદિર ઉપર ચડતાં ચડતાં સંતસ્વરૂપ સ્વામીને સ્વામીશ્રી કહે : ‘આ હરિભક્તો આવ્યા છે, તો એ બધાને નાસ્તા-પાણીનું ધ્યાન રાખજો, બપોરે જમવામાં પણ વ્યવસ્થા કરજો અને સૌને રાજી કરજો.’

Perverse Nature of the Jiva
“The nature of the jiva is such that when a person is a householder, he would prefer to renounce worldly life; but once he has renounced, he harbours desires for the pleasures of worldly life once again. Such is the perverse nature of the jiva. Therefore, one who is a staunch devotee of God should worship God after discarding such a perverse nature as well as all of one’s personal likes and dislikes…”
