એકવાર રાત્રે સ્નાન કર્યા પછી દેવચરણ સ્વામી તથા નિર્ગુણ સ્વામી પગ દાબતા હતા. બીજું કોઈ હતું નહિ. ત્યારે સ્વામીશ્રી એકાએક કહે, 'મારી વાત કહું ?'
'કહો,' સૌએ આતુરતાથી કહ્યું.
'અમે નાના હતા ત્યારે વરસતા વરસાદમાં ભીને કપડે માથે મણ મણનાં પોટલાં ઉપાડી હાલ્યા જતા. ઠંડી લાગતી નહિ, શરદી લાગતી નહિ, અખંડ કેફ રહેતો.' એમ કહીને હસવા લાગ્યા.
મોટા પુરુષના મુખેથી પોતાની આપવીતીની વાત ભાગ્યે જ સાંભળવા મળે. યુવાન સંતોને પ્રેરણા મળે એ જ હેતુથી સ્વામીશ્રી ક્યારેક આમ અઢળક ઢળી જતા.

For example, if a person has some worldly task to perform, and he wants to accomplish that job extremely well, he should consult some experts. Similarly, such consultation is necessary here as well…”
