કંપાલામાં સૌપ્રથમવાર અન્નકૂટોત્સવ યોગીજી મહારાજે કર્યો. પૂર્વ આફ્રિકાના સેંકડો હરિભક્તો આવ્યા હતા.
સ્વામીશ્રીએ આશીર્વાદ આપતાં કહ્યું હતું કે : 'શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજના આશીર્વાદ છે : (૧) આપણા મંડળમાં સંગઠનભાવ, સંપ અને સુહૃદયભાવ વધે અને શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજ તન, મન, ધનથી સુખી રાખે. (૨) પાંચેય મંદિરોમાં આવા અન્નકૂટ કરે અને સાક્ષાત્ મહારાજ જમે. (૩) નિર્દોષબુદ્ધિ ભગવાન અને ભક્તમાં થાય. પક્ષ રાખવો, સુખ-દુઃખમાં (એકબીજાના) ભીડો ખમવો. (૪) (હરિભક્તો) દેશમાં જઈને બેસી ન રહે, સત્સંગ કરે. (૫) ભક્તચિંતામણિ ૬૪મું પ્રકરણ વાંચવું. આ પાંચ આશીર્વાદ શાસ્ત્રીજી મહારાજે આપ્યા છે.'

"If a person is unable to attain such an understanding, then he should maintain profound association with such a Sant. If that Sant were to daily beat him five times with a pair of shoes, he should still tolerate such insults, but just as an opium addict cannot abandon his addiction, in no way should he abandon his association with the Sant…"
