Pramukh Swami Maharaj has encouraged sadhus to pursue philosophical studies of the scriptures to further their own spiritual progress and better contribute to that of others. The School of Philosophy has produced scholars that have gone on to study at the University of Oxford, Bangalore University, the University of Mysore and Shri Somnath Sanskrit University, and where they have completed theses on the ancient and formative texts of Hindu philosophy.
