The most frequent indication for diagnostic thoracoscopy is pleural effusion. Thoracoscopy in spontaneous pneumothorax may identify the cause of the pneumothorax. The most frequent indication for therapeutic thoracoscopy is pleurodesis (mostly chemical) to prevent recurrence of pleural effusion.

Polysomnography, also called a sleep study, is a comprehensive test used to diagnose sleep disorders. Polysomnography records your brain waves, the oxygen level in your blood, heart rate and breathing, as well as eye and leg movements during the study.

Bronchoscopy is a procedure that lets doctors look at your lungs and air passages. It's usually performed by a doctor who specializes in lung disorders (a pulmonologist). During bronchoscopy, a thin tube (bronchoscope) is passed through your nose or mouth, down your throat and into your lungs.

We run an advanced pulmonary function department where around 100 patients in a month are being evaluated with spirometry successfully as per the indication. We also have a dedicated endoscopy suite where flexible fibreoptic Bronchoscopy is done. We have been giving excellent results with bronchoalveolar lavage, trans-bronchial needle aspiration, Trans -bronchial lung biopsy, Thoracoscopy etc. to facilitate accurate diagnosis and eventually standard treatment as per international norms. We have excellent results of bronchoscopy guided foreign body removal.

We have Isolated Cubical ICU for infection control measures.
