આપણા લોકલાડીલા પ્રધાનમંત્રી માનનીય શ્રી નરેન્દ્રભાઇ મોદીજીએ ગાંધીજયંતી ઉપક્રમે રાષ્ટ્રને અંજલિ આપવા નાગરિકોને હાકલ કરી કે તા. 1 ઓક્ટોબર, 2023ના રોજ સવારે 10 વાગે નાગરિકોએ સ્વયમ્ આગેવાની લઈને સ્વચ્છતા માટે એક કલાક શ્રમદાન કરી રાષ્ટ્રને અંજલિ આપવી.
માનનીય વડાપ્રધાનશ્રીના આહવાનને અનુસરીને 'સ્વચ્છતા હી સેવા' અંતર્ગત બી.એ.પી.એસ. સ્વામિનારાયણ વિદ્યામંદિર, અટલાદરાના આશરે ૩૦૦ જેટલા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ તથા સ્ટાફ એ આ સેવાયજ્ઞમાં જોડાઈને ભારત માતા તથા રાષ્ટ્રપિતા મહાત્મા ગાંધીજીના ચરણોમાં સ્વચ્છાંજલિ અર્પણ કરી હતી. જેમાં વિદ્યાર્થીઓએ શાળાની આસપાસના વિસ્તારને સ્વચ્છ કરી જીવનમાં શિસ્ત, સેવા અને સ્વચ્છતાના પાઠ દ્રઢ કર્યા હતા. 'સ્વચ્છતા હી સેવા' અંતર્ગત આ કાર્યક્રમમાં બીએપીએસ સ્વામિનારાયણ વિદ્યામંદિર, અટલાદરા ના સંચાલક સંત પૂજ્ય પુણ્યકીર્તન સ્વામી એ વિદ્યાર્થીઓને સ્વચ્છતાનો મહિમા સમજાવ્યો હતો તથા વિદ્યાર્થીઓ સાથે સેવા યજ્ઞમાં જોડાઈને ઉત્સાહમાં વધારો કર્યો હતો.
આ પ્રસંગે વોર્ડ નંબર 11 ના માનનીય કોર્પોરેટર શ્રીમતી સંગીતાબેન ચોકસી ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા અને સાથે સાથે સ્વચ્છતા રૂપી સેવામાં જોડાઈને વિદ્યાર્થીઓને વિશેષ પ્રેરણા અને માર્ગદર્શન પણ આપ્યું હતું.
વિશ્વવ્યાપી વિરાટ બીએપીએસ સ્વામિનારાયણ સંસ્થાના પ્રમુખ અને આધ્યાત્મિક વડા ગુરુ હરિ પ. પૂ. મહંત સ્વામી મહારાજે સત્સંગદીક્ષા ગ્રંથમાં પણ સ્વચ્છતાનું અદભુત મહત્વ સમજાવી તેને જીવનના અભિન્ન અંગ તરીકે સમજાવ્યું છે, જેની ઝલક આપણને સંસ્થાના તમામ પરિસરોમાં સ્પષ્ટપણે દેખાઈ આવે છે.
Our beloved Prime Minister Hon'ble Shri Narendrabhai Modi has called upon the citizens to pay homage to the nation on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. On October 1, 2023 at 10 am, citizens should take the initiative to pay tribute to the nation by donating one hour for cleanliness.
Under 'Swachhta Hi Seva' following the call of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, around 300 students and staff of BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Atladara joined this service and paid obeisance at the feet of Mother India and Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. In which the students cleaned the area around the school and inculcated the lessons of discipline, service and cleanliness in life. Pujya Punyakirtan Swami (Main Saint of BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Atladara), explained the glory & importance of cleanliness to the students and joined the students in the Swachhata/Seva Yagna to increase their enthusiasm.
Honourable Corporator of Ward No. 11, Mrs. Sangitaben Choksi was present on this occasion and also gave special motivation and guidance to the students by participating in the cleanliness service.
HDH Mahant Swami Maharaj the Spiritual Leader of BAPS, also explained the great importance of cleanliness in Satsang Diksha Granth as an integral part of life, a glimpse of which is clearly observed in all the premises of BAPS Sanstha.
