The 101st Janmajayanti of Pramukh Swami Maharaj was celebrated with great devotion on 30 November 22 at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir Randesan. The celebration was based around a collection of testimonies of the life-enhancing inspiration that Swamishri has provided to various devotees around the world.
The celebration started with ‘Narayanswarupabhidhyanam’, recitation of shlokas glorifying Pramukh Swami Maharaj as Aksharbrahma and Param Brahma residing in him. It was followed by kirtan ‘Dhanya Dhanya Chhe Swami Tujhne’. Few students were invited on the stage to give pravachan.
The topic for the Pravachan which focused on innumerable gifts given by Pramukhswami Maharaj to people. But out of all, the most adorable gift is this school which has enlightened so many young minds from rural area to urban area, from villages to city, from India to foreign lands. BAPS schools set up by Pramukh Swami Maharaj has benefited students from various backgrounds. They also cited the example of Krishna Dave, an alumni of our school who said that Swami is her continuous inspiration in life. It was followed by inspiring videos and speeches which described the manner in which Pramukh Swami Maharaj has positively transformed the lives of so many.
The most interesting part of the program was the quiz on Pramukh Swami Maharaj Smruti. Some images were displayed and the participants were asked to narrate the prasang related to that photo. Some of it were about Akshardham, Swamishree’s Bypass Surgery, Favourite kirtan of Swamishree, Swamishree na Chashma and two awards received by our sanstha. The program ended with Bhavanjali offered by management and all the teachers to Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
On 1st December, Magshar Sud Atham, Pramukh Swami Maharaj Janmajayanti was celebrated joyously in the Yogi Prayer Hall. The participants of Janma Shatabdi Mahotsav departed for their sewa in Pramukh Swami Maharaj Nagar on the very same day. They were sent off with best wishes and blessings from elders and their hostelmates.
