9th July to 13th July 2018, was celebrated as MATHS WEEK at school. Students decorated the green boards and soft boards with charts and slogans related to Maths. Various Maths activities were conducted in classes and assembly during the week.
In std 5 they played a game with Matchsticks and learned to make multiplication tables up to 100. Std 6 Multiplication table game quiz was played which ensured students multiplication tables up to 15 were fluent.
Std 7 participated in activity ‘‘Who has the number?’’ The sticky notes with the question and answer pair were pasted on the whiteboard. Students had to be attentive to give answers and they enjoyed a lot.
Std 8 had an activity called “pick calculate and create” while std 9 played a challenging brainstorming activity called “Where is Math”?
The whole purpose of such activity was to remove the fear of mathematics from the mind of students and make them friendlier with numbers and its operation.
