Coordination, collaboration and team work are some of the most important traits needed in the work-force of tomorrow. Days of working in isolation are long over and thus most of the activities at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan are aimed at fostering and sharpening these skills. Group Singing Competition was one such try. Held on 7th July 2018, the students were made to sing along with entire class.
Each student sang that day. Along with everyone else. From Std 5 innocently singing “Dhammachakdi” to Std 9’s poetic recitation of “kunj ma koyal bole..”, the students sang their textual poems in English, Hindi and Gujarati. The students were judged based on their coordination, group presentation, over all impact etc by Smt. Meena M. Modi (LA, USA) and Smt. Sudha Dave (Ahmedabad, India) - both an accomplished vocalist themselves.
It was actually quite brave of every student to come in front and perform in front of crowd of 500 students and 50 teachers/ Gruh Sanchalikas. And that exactly was the fruitlet of the entire event.
