Jina Bhagat was born on Vaishakh Vad 12, Vikram Samvat Year 1948 (23  May 1892). From his childhood, Jina Bhagat was engrossed in bhakti. He took diksha as a sadhu at the Swaminarayan mandir in Junagadh at the age of 16 and was named Sadhu Gnanjivandasji. Sadhu Gnanjivandasji joined his guru, Shastriji Maharaj, in Bochasan and helped spread the glory of the Akshar Purushottam Upasana. During his life, Sadhu Gnanjivandasji suffered insults and physical abuse from detractors for his devotion and faith in the Akshar Purushottam Upasana. Nevertheless, he remained firm in his faith and lovingly served Shastriji Maharaj. Sadhu Gnanjivandasji became known as Yogiji Maharaj, the fourth spiritual successor of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
