In response to the present surge in Covid-19 cases, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, under the guidance and inspiration of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, has responded by providing medical facilities to treat affected patients.
In Atladara, near Vadodara, the BAPS Shastriji Maharaj Hospital has provided full medical, nursing and other infrastructure support at two nearby locations: BAPS Niramaya Hospital – 25 beds with oxygen support, 8 ventilator and ICU beds; and BAPS Chhatralaya – 30 beds with oxygen support. So far, over 1,100 patients have received treatment at these two locations.
In addition, on the BAPS Yagnapurush Grounds opposite the BAPS Mandir in Atladara, the GMERS Hospital, Gotri, is managing medical treatment at a 500-bed field hospital with oxygen support. BAPS is providing full non-medical infrastructure support at this location. To date, over 650 patients have been treated here.
