As a part of the Year of Tolerance, 15 members of the Ministry of Economy visited the site of the BAPS Hindu Mandir at Abu Dhabi. They were welcomed by children and volunteers and taken on a special guided tour of the Tolerance Exhibition. The exhibition celebrates tolerance in three sections:

The World of Tolerance shares views of world leaders on tolerance and harmony.

The Land of Tolerance exhibits the UAE’s dedication to tolerance through its seven pillars. It also shows the cultural exchange which occurred this year in events such as the visit of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj and 50 BAPS sadhus to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the presence of Abu Dhabi leaders at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the mandir.

The Home of Tolerance expresses the aspiration and design of the BAPS Hindu Mandir as a Spiritual Oasis for Global Harmony.
After viewing the exhibition, the officials attended a small presentation on the history and purpose of the mandir. His Excellency Sultan Al Darwish, leading the delegation, was very pleased with the exhibition and deeply commended the dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm of the volunteers.
