The second patotsav (anniversary) of the BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir in Bangkok, Thailand, was celebrated on the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, 29 July 2026.
The celebrations were attended by His Excellency Shri Puneet Agrawal Ji, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Thailand, together with prominent members of the Indian and Thai communities, as well as devotees from across the region.
The program included the Vedic patotsav mahapuja and arti, celebration assembly, and annakut darshan.
On this occasion, Shri Puneet Agrawal Ji addressed the gathering, “Prior to my appointment here in Thailand, I served as the Consul General of India in Hong Kong. It was during my tenure there that I first came into contact with swamijis of the BAPS Sanstha, and had the privilege of visiting the BAPS Mandir in Hong Kong on many occasions.
“In 2018, when Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj graced Hong Kong, I was indeed honoured to receive his blessings. I am truly delighted to see how actively the BAPS Sanstha serves society here in Bangkok as a vibrant hub of our culture, timeless values, family life, and selfless service.”
The celebrations ended with special prayers for world peace; the good health and long life of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, the King of Thailand; the continued progress and prosperity of the Kingdom of Thailand; the continuous growth of religious and moral values in society; and the well-being, harmony and happiness of all.
