The opening of the new Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was a historic moment of celebration for over a billion Hindus around the world.
With the inspiration and guidance of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, this momentous occasion was marked at all BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu mandirs internationally, including more than 40 mandirs and centres across the UK and Europe, as well as in the homes of devotees worldwide.
Mandirs, halls and homes were beautifully decorated to commemorate the joyous occasion, with a host of devotional festivities providing worshippers of all ages and denominations an opportunity to offer their reverence to Shri Ramchandra Bhagwan.
The celebratory events included a vibrant and enlightening cultural programme of bhajans, dramas, and discourses from learned swamis paying homage to the exemplary life of Shri Ramchandra Bhagwan. It also included an insightful presentation on the sacred connections between Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Ayodhya, as well as the many contributions of Yogiji Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj towards the new Shri Ram Mandir.
Leaders and representatives from various Hindu mandirs and organisations, as well as local civic leaders and distinguished guests, also joined the celebrations at BAPS mandirs and centres in another mark of solidarity and support for this historic occasion.
