At dawn, the Vedic ceremony to place the first carved stambh (pillar) of the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Dar-es-Salaam, was joyously performed by Priyavrat Swami, other swamis and devotees.
Thereafter, over 300 devotees and well-wishers participated in the Vishwashanti Mahapuja arranged on this special occasion. Also, guests and their families performed the abhsihek of Shri Nilkanth Varni Maharaj
In the evening, over 500 devotees performed pujan of the first carved pillar.
