The historic murti sthapan cermony of the new murtis at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Syracuse, NY took place on Saturday, November 4, 2023, amidst Vedic chanting and devotional festivities. The ceremony, led by Pujya Yagnavallabhdas Swami and Pujya Gnanpriyadas Swami, began with a Vedic Mahapuja, followed by the sacred murti-sthapan vidhi. The ceremony concluded with the placement of the divine murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami, Bhagwan Shri Krishna, Shri Radhaji; Bhagwan Shri Ram, Shri Sitaji, Shri Hanumanji; Bhagwan Shri Shiv, Shri Parvatiji, Shri Ganeshji and the murtis of BAPS Gurus - Brahmaswarup Bhagatji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj, Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj, Pragat Brahmaswarup Mahant Swami Maharaj.
These murtis were earlier consecrated by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj on July 28, 2023, in Robbinsville, NJ. The mandir itself was inaugurated previously on
October 9, 2006. Following the ceremony, an annakut, comprising various vegetarian items, was offered to the newly consecrated murtis. The attendees were filled with joy and a sense of spiritual fulfillment as they witnessed the murti-sthapan vidhi, a ceremony that marks a significant milestone in the life of the mandir and its community.
