Diwali, a significant Hindu festival, symbolizes the return of Bhagwan Shri Ram to Ayodhya, embodying values such as love, compassion, courage, and unity. Recognizing its importance, BAPS organized Kids’ Diwali Celebrations at various mandirs across North America. The theme for this year's celebration was "Strength in Unity." Through diverse programs and engaging skits, children learned about unity, discipline, and the impact of their daily choices on achieving success and happiness.
The event featured a special Diwali Showcase, where stories from Hinduism were narrated, emphasizing how its values can be integrated into everyday life. Interactive games, moon bounces, and other activities were part of the celebrations. The event also included Saraswati Pujan, honoring the Hindu goddess of knowledge, arts, and wisdom.
These experiences left the children with a deeper appreciation and understanding of Hinduism and the essence of Diwali. Under the guidance of Mahant Swami Maharaj, the current guru of BAPS, these celebrations in North America continue to foster spiritual knowledge and growth among children.
