On July 3, 2023, the Guru Purnima festival was celebrated with devotion in the presence of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.
Guru Purnima is a momentous occasion that pays homage to the spiritual guru, expressing gratitude for their invaluable guidance and unwavering support. The central theme of this joyous celebration was to acknowledge the guru's profound impact on our lives, beautifully embodied by the 'Ashray Diksha Mantra' written by Mahant Swami Maharaj in the Satsang Diksha scripture. This sacred mantra serves as a poignant reminder that by seeking solace in the divine through the Aksharbrahman guru, devotees are graced with blessings, fulfillment, and immeasurable joy.
The program encompassed enlightening speeches delivered by senior swamis of BAPS who graciously shared their personal experiences, illustrating how Mahant Swami Maharaj has brought profound fulfillment and boundless joy into countless lives. The festivities were further enhanced by devotional music, captivating skits, and a mesmerizing cultural dance performance presented by the youth.
Today's celebration also paid tribute to the life and work of Mahant Swami Maharaj, who, since becoming the spiritual leader of BAPS in 2016 at the age of 83, he has led the construction of over 350 mandirs, ordained more than 300 young individuals, and established 13 research institutes worldwide. Mahant Swami Maharaj has guided countless devotees on their spiritual paths and selflessly embodies the life motto of his guru, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, 'In the joy of others lies our own.'
In the concluding moments of the celebrations, Mahant Swami Maharaj bestowed his divine blessings upon all present, emphasizing the paramount significance and role of the guru, urging each individual to live in accordance with their teachings.
