On 20 May, over 3,000 people attended the grand celebration to welcome the new murtis of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj at the Blacktown Showground in Sydney. The sacred pran-pratishtha of these panch-dhatu ‘chal murtis’ (mobile sacred images) had been performed by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj during the Pramukh Swami Maharaj Centenary Celebrations in Ahmedabad, India.
A Vishwashanti Mahayagna was performed while BAPS youths chanted Vedic mantras and verses from the Satsang Diksha. After the devotees had offered arti, Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj was honored in a magnificent procession around the showgrounds.
In the evening, swamis and youths performed a kirtan aradhana.
On 21 May 2023, the murtis were consecrated in the BAPS Mandir in Sydney and a beautiful annakut was offered. Thousands of devotees were present to devoutly welcome and honor Shri Akshar -Purushottam Maharaj in a ‘Kesar Tula’. 
In the evening, the special welcome assembly included traditional dances, videos, Sanskrit verse recitations, and speeches by swamis about the glory of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj.
