BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute (BSRI) in Australia organized special conferences titled ‘Timeless Wisdom from Hindu Scriptures’ in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Over 279 religious leaders, representatives and scholars from 124 Hindu organizations, cultural groups and media united to reinforce the significance of Hindu shastras, their relevance today and the importance of relaying this spiritual legacy to future generations. The conferences promoted understanding of the profound wisdom and cultural richness encapsulated within these sacred texts.
Each conference began with a grand palkhi yatra (procession) and pujan of the shastras. Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami gave the keynote speech via video.
Thereafter, children and youth recited Sanskrit verses from the shastras. Distinguished speakers delivered presentations on the following shastras: Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Shrimad Bhagvat Puran, Ramayan, Upanishads, Vedas, Vachanamrut and Satsang Diksha. His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj blessed the conferences via video.
Mahant Swami Maharaj’s vision of making the circle of global harmony bigger was seen through these conferences and support from the community.
