On His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj's 89th birthday, devotees in mandirs throughout North America celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm. As the current spiritual leader of BAPS, he has inspired millions through his unflinching and humble service to God, his gurus, and anyone in need of help. His virtuous life has defined him from childhood to now.
The celebration consisted of a cultural program filled with energy and devotion along with speeches and skits elaborated on Mahant Swami Maharaj's humility, seva, and bhakti virtues. Bhajans extolling his virtues were also sung. In addition, the youth performed dances to express their emotions on this joyous occasion. By celebrating Mahant Swami Maharaj's life, we are reminded that by living a spiritual, helpful, and humble life, we can emulate his God- and Guru-centric life and always experience a state of bliss.
