A special cricket tournament was organised for volunteers of BAPS centres in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands on Saturday 9 July 2022.
The tournament brought together five teams from across the three countries for an entertaining competition in Antwerp, Belgium.
A series of matches were played in the first round from which four teams progressed to the semi-final stage of the competition. The final was played between Netherlands’ Nishtha and Germany’s Samp, with Netherlands prevailing as the tournament winners in a tightly contested match.
The event was organised to promote unity among volunteers within the respective teams as well as among players from other teams. This unity was prevalent throughout the competition, with matches being played with utmost sportsmanship and camaraderie.
The tournament concluded with a short closing ceremony to recognise the best team and individual performances.
Participants thoroughly enjoyed the event, many of whom commented on the spirit of unity and friendliness they had personally experienced throughout the day.
