Around 140 kishores and yuvaks from Nairobi took part in the annual Divya Cup cricket tournament. Fourteen teams competed in four rounds: league, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.
The tournament fostered friendship among the youths and the principles of samp, suhradbhav and ekta that are dear to Mahant Swami Maharaj. The competition emphasized the importance of teamwork, dedication and sportsmanship in order to emerge victorious.
All participants showed tremendous enthusiasm, eagerness, and competitiveness during the matches, but afterwards all players were quick to bow at each other’s feet as a mark of respect and humility.
The tournament taught important interpersonal skills that will enable the kishores and yuvaks to excel in their personal, professional, and academic endeavors.
