Throughout their lives, Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj and Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj devoutly worshiped the small panchdhatu murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj sanctified by Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami over 200 year ago. And today, Pragat Brahmaswarup Mahant Swami Maharaj continues to offer humble daily worship to Shri Harikrishna Maharaj.
This sacred murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj, which is also endeared by countless BAPS devotees worldwide, represents Bhagwan Swaminarayan, who revealed the Vedic doctrine of Akshar-Purushottam in the Vachanamrut. Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj boldly revived this true doctrine proclaimed by Bhagwan Swaminarayan and enshrined the murtis of Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj in majestic traditional mandirs.
Reinforcing the central role of this doctrine, Mahant Swami Maharaj revealed that Yogiji Maharaj often said, “In whichever brahmand Maharaj manifests, he is always accompanied by Swami. Aksharbrahma and Parabrahma are an elegant, eternal duo. They can never be separated.” And with this, Yogiji Maharaj voiced his wish to consecrate a small murti of Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami to accompany Shri Harikrishna Maharaj.
To fulfil this wish, Mahant Swami Maharaj performed the murti-pratishtha of a small panchdhatu murti of Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami beside the sacred murti of Shri Harikrishna Maharaj.
This grand murti-pratishtha in Nenpur featured a mahayag, nagar yatra, mahapuja and murti-pratishtha rituals, and other celebrations. While observing the pandemic restrictions, Swamishri celebrated this historic occasion with befitting pageantry. All the events were webcast live on the Sanstha’s website.
Thousands of devotees worldwide joined in the momentous murti-pratishtha festivities by decorating their homes, organizing pandemic-safe nagar yatras, and participating in the online mahapuja from their homes. They joyfully and devoutly welcomed Aksharbrahma Gunatitanand Swami into their homes while witnessing this historic event.
