A special satsang sabha was organised in the presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj at Beddington Conference Centre in Croydon, London, on Wednesday 27 September 2017.
The sabha was attended by devotees from South London and nearby areas. South London is one of the largest Satsang centres in the UK, with volunteers and worshippers in the area preparing meticulously and eagerly for Swamishri's visit.
Upon arrival, Swamishri planted a tree outside the complex before taking given a tour of the multi-storey conference centre.
When Swamishri arrived for the evening assembly, children and youths greeted him with a garland of flowers as part of a traditional welcome. Swamishri was then joyously received with rapturous applause inside the assembly hall.
Swamis had begun the evening programme with bhajans after which they spoke of Swamishri’s tireless efforts to bless countless people around the world, sharing inspiring accounts of his saintliness and devotion. Children and youths also presented a historical overview of the satsang activities in South London over the years.
In his blessings, Swamishri recognised the enthusiasm of the local devotees and encouraged them to strengthen their faith in God and maintain their steadfastness in their spiritual endeavours.
Swamishri wrote a concluding message of ‘samp, suhradbhav and ekta’ which was shared with the congregation. He also sanctified food items to be served as prasad to the devotees.
