The 150th birth celebrations of Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj were devoutly celebrated by the mahilas at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London on Saturday 7 February 2015.
Themed ‘Eva Shastriji Maharajne Lakho Vandan’, the evening programme began with a grand procession welcoming the murti of Shastriji Maharaj into the sabha.
The festival focused on the life of Karniba – a dedicated female devotee of Shastriji Maharaj. Her devotion was presented through a drama and explored further through an enlightening speech which also reflected upon Shastriji Maharaj’s determination and profound courage in propagating Akshar-Purushottam Upasana through the devotees.
This principle was further emphasised through a video presentation of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s blessings from 2009 in Dabhan.
The festival concluded with a vibrant and colourful dance.
