Over 120 people attended the Health Expo organized at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Sydney, with the support of WentWest. The Expo focused on cancer and the need for early detection for all types of cancer.

The Expo was inaugurated by Julia Finn, MP for Granville, in the presence of prominent local health and community leaders. Experienced speakers and health professionals representing Cancer Council NSW, Bowel Cancer Australia and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia made presentation ways to minimise cancer risk through healthy lifestyles, detecting early symptoms and the options for seeking help.

Breast Screen NSW also provided free breast cancer screening for local women, using their mobile screening van in the area.

Participants also visited the information booths set up by WentWest, Cancer Council NSW, Stroke Foundation, Bowel Cancer Australia, Westmead Breast Cancer Institute, the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation and other health organisations.
