BAPS volunteers responded immediately to the urgent need for food in flood-hit Chennai and surrounding areas, ECR, and Mahablipuram by providing essential grains and cooking oil to local communities across Chennai. Food kits containing 10 kilograms of rice, one kilogram of daal (lentils), and one litre of oil each have been distributed.
Krishna Karnai village residents received 205 food kits, and Periyanemely (Kannima Nagar) village received an additional 55 kits from packed and distributed personally by BAPS volunteers, directly to the local populace.
BAPS volunteers continue to aid in the relief work.
