The 2012 National Sanyukta Mandal Shibir was held on 2 September 2012 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London and again on 9 September 2012 at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Leicester. Both catered for attendees from various parts of the UK and were held in the presence of senior sadhus from India, including Narendraprasad Swami (Acharya Swami), Gnaneshwar Swami, Shrutiprakash Swami, Vivekjivan Swami and Mukundcharan Swami, as well as sadhus from BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London.

Drawing upon the ancient Vedic sentiment of “Sarve’tra Sukhinah Santu” (‘May everyone here be happy’), the shibir aimed to provide guidance on achieving a holistic form of happiness in life. It especially focussed on family values, physical wellbeing, and a deeper understanding of God, Guru and the self.

The key messages were conveyed through a variety of mediums including videos, dramas and scriptural discourses.

The event was very well received by the participants who particularly appreciated the breadth and variety of content and the practical guidance provided on key aspects of everyday living.
