As part of the BAPS Centenary Celebrations, BAPS centers throughout Gujarat held "Bhakti Yatras'. In these processions devotees organized colorful parades in their local streets, singing the Swaminarayan mantra and bhajans. At the end assemblies were held in which sadhus addressed the gatherings explaining the glory of the Akshar-Purushottam upasana.
A total of 193 Bhakti Yatras were held in the cities, while 2,727 were held in the villages. Over 276,825 devotees participated.
