On 14-11-2000, the Brihad Gujarati Samaj presented Swamishri with the "Gujarat Gaurav" award. The award was presented by Vilasrao Deshmukh, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Arun Gujarati, speaker of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and Hemraj Shah, president of the Brihad Gujarati Samaj. Around 8000 people attended this special function held in Swamishri's honour.
