Empowerment encompasses various facets, with women's safety and security taking a prominent and paramount role. In celebration of International Women's Day, a series of impactful programs unfolded at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan, this year.

One significant event in this series was the "Workshop on Safety and Self-Defense for Women," held on March 4, 2023 at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan. This engaging and enlightening workshop was conducted by the dynamic Sh. Ruzan Khambatta, a young social entrepreneur known for her remarkable initiatives, including the establishment of a dedicated Women's Helpline. She also boasts a successful business portfolio and is a motivational speaker.

The workshop delved into crucial aspects of personal safety, emphasizing alertness, vigilance, reflex, and techniques to thwart potential threats. Sh. Ruzan Khambatta's ability to vividly explain and recreate real-life scenarios left a profound impression on both the school officials and students. What made this workshop truly impactful was the hands-on approach, as students not only observed but actively practiced the techniques. They demonstrated their newfound skills on stage and honed them through interactive sessions.

This enthusiastic, insightful, and, notably, fun-filled session aimed at empowering women. Sh. Ruzan Khambatta addressed the delicate topic of safety with finesse, ensuring that every participant left with a greater sense of confidence. The students were impressed by the simplicity and effectiveness of the techniques learned, realizing that empowerment often comes in the form of small, practical tools like these.

At BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan, the commitment to empowering women remains at the forefront, making safety and self-defense essential components of the journey toward women's empowerment.
