International Day of Yoga, celebrated on June 21 each year, serves as a global platform to promote the age-old practice of yoga and recognize its profound impact on both physical and spiritual well-being.

On June 21, 2023, Swaminarayan Vidyamandir Randesan joyously observed International Yoga Day. The day's proceedings were graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Shree P.B. Pandya, an IAS officer, and Director of Higher Education in Gandhinagar.

The celebration commenced with a soulful prayer, setting the stage for a meaningful and inspiring event. The theme of the day was 'Yoga - One World, One Health.' The speech by studnets that followed underscored the rich heritage of yoga, deeply embedded in our traditions, and the manifold benefits it bestows upon us. It also stressed the pivotal role that youth play in spreading awareness about the advantages of yoga.

As the morning unfolded, students and members of the Yuvati Talim Kendra (YTK) showcased their proficiency through Yoga demonstrations. The demonstrations encompassed various facets of yoga, including Pranayama, Omkar, Brahmari, Suryamanamaskar, Pyramid Formation, and Yoga dance, captivating the audience with their grace and precision.

Our Campus Director, Dr. Neeta Shah, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, applauding his dedication and humility. She mentioned the aspirations of many students to pursue IAS and invited Shree P.B. Pandya to share his invaluable insights.

In his address, the Chief Guest praised the Yoga teacher and all participating students for their splendid demonstrations. He shed light on the history of Yoga Day and its inception, inspiring the young minds present to embrace yoga as an integral part of their lives. His guidance extended to students aspiring for the UPSC exam, emphasizing the importance of newspaper reading in the 21st century, aptly named the "century of knowledge."

To conclude the program, Mr. Bharat Mavadia, our Assistant Director, took the stage for the vote of thanks. He expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, the Yoga teacher, dedicated educators, and all the enthusiastic students who made the event a grand success. This celebration of yoga underscored its universal appeal and its potential to unite minds, bodies, and spirits in pursuit of holistic well-being.
