Yagnapurush Smruti Mandir

On 10th May 1951 (Vaishakh Sud 4), Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj breathed in His last. In 1980, Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj, on the same location Brahmarup Shastriji Maharaj’s final rights were built build this memorial shrine.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj Smruti Mandir

On 13th August 2016, at 6pm, Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj, at the age of 94, breathed his last. Over the next four days, more than two million people visited Sarangpur for Swamishri’s final darshan. On the 17th August 2016, his final rights were performed at this location.

Charnavind (Smruti Chhatri)

When Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj would visit Sarangpur during its construction and early years, he would stay in a small mud hut, originally on this location. Just outside the hut, he would sit on a chair and inspect the ongoing construction. His presence would encourage all the sadhus and devotees involved in the building work.

Chuno

During the construction of the Mandir, the Chuno was used to mix quick lime.

Holy Tree (Khijado)

This Neem tree signifies the location where Bhagwan Swaminarayan performed many miracles to feed local Brahmins for seven days. In addition, Maharaj would regularly sit in the shade under this tree and deliver spiritual discourse to the Paramhansas and devotees.

Gateway

The awe-inspiring structure, a shining example of India’s exquisite architecture, contains rows of ornate archways and pillars, was in Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj’s time. The twenty-four-foot bridge in front of the gate, and the accommodation facilities on either side of the gate were built much later by Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

Rang Mandap

The ground floor of the Mandir, is where Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj would regularly deliver spiritual discourses to Sadhus and devotees. In the Rang Mandap on 10th May, 1951, he also breathed his last, and left his mortal body. Today, it contains both Shastriji Maharaj’s and Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Sedan Chairs, and many other sanctified objects.

Rojo

This monument commemorates the simple but historic beginning of such a majestic Mandir. Two hundred years ago, Bhagwan Swaminarayan, seated on his mare, Rojo Ghodo, galloped around what is today the Mandir campus, and prophesized that in the future, a magnificent marble Mandir will be built here, in which, idols of himself, with his ideal devotee, Gunatitanand Swami will be installed.

Roop Chowki

On many occasions, Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj would sit here and talk about spiritual matters such as agna and upasana, with his sadhus and devotees.

Sabha Mandap

Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj would often sit in the Sabha Mandap until late at night with sadhus and devotees and conduct spiritual discourses. It is also regularly used to this day, every morning, by the young sadhus who live and study in Sarangpur to listen to spiritual talks based on the Vachanamrut.

Sarvasva

This is where Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj stayed upon his regular visits to Sarangpur.

Well (Kuvo)

Known as the Havediyo Kuvo, or well, it was actively used to extract water used for cooking, bathing, and cleaning. Villagers would also pull water from it for their livestock.

Shastriji Maharaj's Room

After the completion of the Mandir, Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj would live in this room when he visited Sarangpur.

Yogiji Maharaj's Room

Attached to Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj’s room, is Brahmaswarup Yogiji Maharaj’s room where he would stay when he visited Sarangpur.
