From Jaisalmer to Nairobi
The Nairobi Mandir is a magnificent architectural fusion born from a global partnership of design, material, and masterful craftsmanship. Following extensive research by the Sanstha’s Planning Cell into the heritage monuments of Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Kerala, and Mount Abu, a unique vision was realized that seamlessly blends traditional Indian stonework with the natural riches of Africa.
Over 1 million man-hours were dedicated to the project, utilizing a peak workforce of 235 elite craftsmen to bring this sacred space to life within a grand 10,200 square foot footprint measuring 140 feet in length, 99 feet in width, and 69 feet in height.
Sculpted in Stone
Rising into the skyline, the facade is defined by 5 majestic shikhars (pinnacles) and 7 structural ghummats (domes). The outer walls are further detailed with traditional architectural accents, featuring 40 gavakshas (windows), 23 samarans (arches), and 4 elegant zarukhas (balconies).
