Bhagwan Swaminarayan has stated in the Shikshãpatri: “Pravartinã sadvidyã” (Inspire true education). In accordance with this principle, we commenced the noble task of educating lower, middle-class children whose parents are not able to afford the best quality schooling. Living in an economically deprived area, children are commonly deprived of good quality education due to lack of resources. BAPS Vidyamandir, Sarangpur aims provide the best quality education to students from rural areas. Sarangpur, which is located in Gujarat, is also known as “Naimishãranya Kshetra” – a pilgrimage centre whose holy, peaceful and natural environment is renowned worldwide.
The all-boys school offers instruction for Standard 6 through 12. Vidyamandir also offers courses in both science and commerce concentrations. Student halls, owned and operated by BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, are available for studentsfor the duration of the academic year. Modelled after traditional Vedic ashrams, the Vidyamandir, in addition to their academic studies, students are also taught morals values. Each student is given personalized attention and is inspired to live a spiritual and ethical life.
