Staying active after retirement is imperative for the elderly to remain physically, emotionally, and mentally healthy. BAPS provides opportunities for retired professionals to stay healthy and give back to their local communities at the same time.
Research associates, professors, physicians, architects, engineers, and other professionals have all found a place within our social, humanitarian, and cultural structures. This program helps senior citizens remain healthy through regular activity and movement. It also helps them to engage their minds by regularly donating part of their day to run literacy campaigns, oversee administrative tasks in schools and hostels, and provide medical treatment at diagnostic camps and healthcare facilities. BAPS initiatives provide senior citizens with an opportunity to benefit themselves and their local communities.  Dr. Janak Dave says the satisfaction is fulfilling: “I have been able to attend conferences, set up educational workshops, and even speak to a few hundred people about my experience in the academic domain. This is the greatest thing that could have happened to me post-retirement. Some of my colleagues have aged tremendously after retirement – not me!”
