The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha provides for those in need and communities around the world. BAPS contributes to disadvantaged communities through monetary and in-kind aid. Goods and services are donated to communities in the aftermath of natural disasters, social, economical, and environmental calamities.
Clothing and food drives held at BAPS centers help neighboring populations. BAPS is often approached by local blood centers to hold blood and bone marrow drives in communities around the world. Food grains and cooking supplies are distributed regularly to underprivileged rural and inner-city communities. Annual walkathons take place across North America and Europe. Money raised by the thens of thousands of participants nationwide is donated to local hospitals, food banks, and public service departments.
