o At 11.00 a.m., Swamishri visited the Shri Jagannath Jagdish Mandir in Jamalpur, Amdavad, at the invitation of Mahant Rameshwardasji. It was the eve of the 126 annual rath yatra festival. On Swamishri's arrival, 18 decorated elephants raised their trunks and honored Swamishri. The managing trustee of the mandir garlanded Swamishri and led Swamishri to perform pujan of the three raths (chariots) in which the murtis of Bhagwan Jagannath, Subhadraji and Baldevji would be paraded on the streets of Amdavad.
As Swamishri entered the Jagannath Mandir the elephants raised their trunks, trumpeted and offered garland to honor him. Thereafter Swamishri offered pujan to a decorated cow called Ganga and then went to the seat where Mahant Rameshwardasji was seated before a fireplace (dhuni). The Mahant welcomed and honored Swamishri. After applying the holy ash to Thakorji Swamishri applied it on his forehead. Then both the Mahant and Swamishri went to the mandir sanctum for darshan of the murtis of Bhagwan Jagannath, Subhadraji and Baldevji. Swamishri offered pujan to the murtis with garlands, flowers and shawls. Swamishri also offered a bouquet of fruits and sweets for the deities. The Mahant honored Swamishri with a garland, shawl and prasad. Thereafter Swamishri went to the adjacent shrines and performed pujan of the murtis of Shri Narsinh Bhagwan, Tirupatiji, Ranchhodraiji and Dattatrey.

The murtis were brought from Jagannath and installed here. By having darshan one feels peaceful and he protects all his devotees. Narsinhdasji Maharaj, the former guru, was a great saint. The present Maharaj Pujya Rameshwardasji has spread the glory of Bhagwan Jagannath..."
